Move your client work from Housecall Pro to Workspace369.

Housecall Pro is built for home-service trades: scheduling and dispatch, routes, GPS tracking for field techs, a price book and a mobile app for the truck. If that is your business, stay on it; this page says so plainly below. This guide is for the office-side service business that ended up on Housecall Pro without dispatching anyone: agencies, consultants and studios who want proposals clients approve and sign, contracts, a client portal, projects and tasks, time that turns into invoices, a shared inbox with texting and calls, and automations. Housecall Pro publishes its prices: Basic is $79 a month for one user, Essentials $189 for five users and Max $329 for eight, with lower rates billed annually. There is no Housecall Pro importer. What Workspace369 does have is AI Import, which maps your own spreadsheet columns and shows what it will cost before it writes anything. Prices below were checked on Housecall Pro’s own pricing page on October 23, 2026.

14-day free trial. Card required. After the trial: $74/month for Voyager. Renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing.

The honest part first

What moves, what doesn't

There is no one-click import from Housecall Pro, and Workspace369 does not claim one. You bring your data as spreadsheets and AI Import does the column mapping.

Moves with you

  • Clients, products, expenses, invoices and proposals. Get your data into CSV or XLSX and AI Import maps the columns to the right fields. You review the mapping first. Your price book can come across as products.
  • The cost, before you commit. The import shows how much of your monthly usage it needs before it starts, so nothing runs on a surprise bill.

You re-create these

  • Files and photos. AI Import doesn't bring these. Download them from Housecall Pro and attach them to the client record or project by hand.
  • Getting the data out of Housecall Pro. We did not confirm a documented export path for customers and invoices on October 16, 2026. Check Housecall Pro’s reports and ask its support what it can export for you before you plan the move.
  • Jobs, schedules, routes and technician tracking. Workspace369 has no dispatch, route tools or GPS tracking. Open work becomes projects, tasks and calendar events, and you re-enter what is still live.
  • Time entries. AI Import’s record types are clients, products, expenses, invoices and proposals. Keep your Housecall Pro time data for your records and track time fresh in Workspace369.
  • Your business number. Housecall Pro lists Voice as an add-on. Workspace369 does not promise a port-in, so plan on picking a new number on Voyager and telling clients before you cancel.
  • Links and saved methods. Old estimate, invoice and booking links keep pointing at Housecall Pro, and saved payment methods cannot be moved between systems.

No lock-in either way: the workspace owner can request a full data export from Workspace369 at any time. Keep your Housecall Pro account active until the last open invoice there is paid.

What you get, what you give up

Where each one is stronger

Housecall Pro is a better tool for running a crew. Workspace369 is a better tool for running client relationships and the paperwork around them.

Workspace369 is stronger at

  • Proposals, contracts and signing. Clients review, accept and sign proposals through a public link, and contracts have their own page. Housecall Pro lists estimates from Basic and a sales proposal tool on Max.
  • A client portal on every plan. A private, branded portal per client with projects, task boards, comments and invoices to view and pay, from Cadet ($29).
  • Projects and tasks. Stages, task boards, subtasks and owners tied to the client record. Cadet includes up to 5 active projects; Voyager and up are unlimited.
  • Time that becomes invoices. Timers and timesheets turn into invoice line items with the project attached, on every plan.
  • Inbox, texting and calls. A shared inbox, two-way SMS and business calls sit beside the client record from Voyager ($74).
  • Automations and AI. Email and SMS workflows (10 active on Voyager, 25 on Specialist, unlimited on Commander), with AI-drafted workflows on Commander.

Housecall Pro is stronger at

  • Dispatch and scheduling. Schedule and assign techs to the right job and time. Listed from Basic on its pricing page.
  • Routes and route optimization. Routes from Essentials; route optimization based on drive time and live traffic on Max.
  • GPS tracking for field techs. Employee GPS tracking without hardware is listed on Essentials.
  • Field workflows and a mobile app. Checklist automations, photo reports and annotations, and a free mobile app for iOS and Android with offline viewing, per its page.
  • A trade price book. A price book from Basic, flat-rate pricing and commissions from Essentials, and job costing.

The seat math

Per-tier user caps against included seats

Housecall Pro sells Basic (1 user), Essentials (5 users) and Max (8 users, $35 a month for each additional user). The page does not list an extra-user price for Basic or Essentials. Workspace369 plans include a set number of seats, and extra seats are $10 a month each from Voyager.

Prices checked October 23, 2026 on the vendors’ own pages, monthly billing.

Team sizeHousecall Pro, monthlyWorkspace369, monthly
1 person$79 (Basic, 1 user)$29 (Cadet, 1 seat; no texting) · $74 (Voyager, 2 seats, with texting)
2 people$189 (Essentials, 5 users); Basic is 1 user and its page lists no extra-user price$74 (Voyager, 2 seats, with texting)
5 people$189 (Essentials, 5 users)$104 (Voyager $74 + 3 extra seats at $10, with texting)
8 people$329 (Max, 8 users)$134 (Voyager $74 + 6 extra seats at $10, with texting)
10 people$399 (Max $329 + 2 extra users at $35)$149 (Specialist, 10 seats)
15 people$574 (Max $329 + 7 extra users at $35)$199 (Specialist $149 + 5 extra seats at $10)

Housecall Pro’s annual billing is cheaper than its monthly rates (Basic $59, Essentials $149, Max $299 a month, billed annually), and Workspace369 takes about 20% off when you pay annually. On October 23, 2026 its page also showed short introductory offers on sign-up ($26 for the first month on Basic and Essentials, $99 a month for three months on Max); the table uses list prices, which apply after any offer. Compare like with like before you decide. The bigger difference is shape: Housecall Pro’s tiers are built around crews and jobs, Workspace369’s around client work. Source: Housecall Pro pricing, checked October 23, 2026. Its page lists add-ons (CSR AI, Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, Voice, Campaigns, Websites and others) without prices, so the real bill can run higher than the tier.

Where Housecall Pro is stronger is real: its pricing page lists scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoicing, a price book and job costing from Basic, and routes, GPS tracking and QuickBooks Online sync from Essentials. On Workspace369, texting and calling start on Voyager ($74), and basic accounting starts on Specialist ($149).

Step by step

The switching checklist

Seven steps, in order.
  1. Export what you can from Housecall Pro

Pull your customer list, open invoices and any time data into spreadsheets, using Housecall Pro’s reports or its support, and save your estimate and invoice wording. Skip closed work; it stays in Housecall Pro as your archive.

  2. Start the trial and set up your services and prices

The 14-day trial is enough time to move. Add your services, packages and rates first so proposals and invoices take minutes afterwards.

  3. Run AI Import for each record type

Upload a CSV or XLSX for clients, products, expenses, invoices or proposals. AI Import maps your columns, you review the mapping, and the usage it needs is shown before you start.

  4. Turn open jobs into projects

Workspace369 has no dispatch or routing, so recreate only the work that is still live as projects, tasks and calendar events. Most people rebuild a short list, not everything.

  5. Add your team and set permissions

Seats are included in the plan, with extra seats at $10 a month from Voyager. You can limit a contractor to the clients assigned to them.

  6. Connect Stripe for payments

Workspace369 payments run on Stripe. Connect once and every invoice goes out with a payment link, with payment plans on Specialist and above.

  7. Cancel Housecall Pro when the last open invoice there is paid

Keep the account active until then. Get your commitment end date and final bill confirmed in writing before you cancel, and time the cancellation after your final invoice clears and you have your exports.

Fair is fair

Stay on Housecall Pro if…

  • Your team drives to jobs. Scheduling, dispatch, routes and route optimization are what Housecall Pro is built for. Workspace369 has no dispatch or route tools, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
  • You manage technicians in the field. Employee GPS tracking, checklist automations, photo reports and a mobile app for the crew are part of Housecall Pro’s plans. If that is your day, a client-work workspace is the wrong tool.
  • Your pricing lives in a trade price book. Housecall Pro lists a price book from Basic and flat-rate pricing from Essentials. Workspace369 has a products catalog, not a trade price book.
  • You want QuickBooks Online sync. Housecall Pro lists it from Essentials. On Workspace369, accounting is built in from Specialist ($149) rather than synced out.
  • Your workflow already runs smoothly. If your jobs, quotes and invoices work, a move has a real cost in hours and no payoff.

FAQ

Switching questions, answered straight

What is the best Housecall Pro alternative?

It depends on whether the product or the contract is the problem. If the product works, get the renewal terms in writing and strip add-ons you don’t use. If the trust is gone, Jobber Connect ($139/mo for one user) is the cleanest like-for-like. If your work is projects, invoices and a portal rather than field service, Workspace369 fits, with texts and calls from Voyager ($74/mo, 2 seats). Prices checked October 23, 2026; the Housecall Pro alternatives page has the full comparison.

Is there a Housecall Pro importer?

No. Workspace369 has no Housecall Pro-specific importer and no one-click import. What it has is AI Import: you upload a CSV or XLSX of clients, products, expenses, invoices or proposals, it maps the columns, and you review the result.

Is Workspace369 a field-service tool like Housecall Pro?

No. Workspace369 has no dispatch, route tools or technician GPS tracking. If your team drives to jobs, stay on Housecall Pro. Workspace369 is for client work: proposals, contracts, projects, a client portal, time tracking, invoices, payments and accounting.

How much does Housecall Pro cost?

On Housecall Pro’s pricing page, checked October 23, 2026, Basic is $79 a month for 1 user, Essentials $189 for 5 users and Max $329 for 8 users, with $35 a month for each additional Max user. Billed annually the rates are $59, $149 and $299 a month. The page lists add-ons without prices, so the total depends on what you add.

What does AI Import cost?

It draws on your plan’s monthly AI usage, and the usage it needs is shown before you start the import, so you can decide before anything runs. Email credits are separate.

Am I locked in to Workspace369?

No. The workspace owner can request a full export of the workspace data and can delete the workspace, with a 24-hour grace period to cancel the deletion.

Which plan do I need for time tracking?

Time tracking with timesheets and time-to-invoice is included on every plan, from Cadet ($29/month, 1 seat). Two-way SMS and calling on Workspace369 start on Voyager ($74/month, 2 seats).

How long does switching take?

Most teams re-enter their active work in a few hours: current clients, open proposals and unpaid invoices. Rebuilding templates is usually the longest part.
