How to Set Up Your Product Catalog in Workspace369

To add a service to your Workspace369 product catalog, open Product Catalog under Finance and click Add Product. Give it a name, set the price, and choose whether tax is charged on it; add a SKU and a category so it's easy to find. A supply recipe takes supplies out of your stock each time the service is invoiced, and you can choose whether it can be booked online. Once it's saved, add it to any proposal or invoice and its price and tax fill in, while the Inventory tab shows what's on hand and when to reorder.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I add a service to my Workspace369 catalog?

Open Product Catalog under Finance and click Add Product. Give it a name, set the price, and add a SKU and a category if you like, then click Save. It's ready to add to any proposal or invoice.

Can a service use up supplies from my stock?

Yes. Add a supply recipe to the service: pick a supply and how much each job uses. Each time the service is invoiced, that amount comes out of your stock.

Can I charge a different tax rate on one item?

Yes. Tax is charged on each item at your usual rate, unless you set a tax rate override on that item. You can also turn tax off for it.

How do I know when to reorder supplies?

Open the Inventory tab. Stock shows what's on hand for each supply, and History shows each supply's reorder point and every change, including what each invoice used.

Can clients book a service online?

Services can appear on your public booking pages. You can switch Accept bookings on or off for each service.

Welcome back. In this video, we'll set up your product catalog: the services you sell, and the supplies you use, so your proposals and invoices fill in for you.

Open Product Catalog, under Finance. Everything you sell is here. Products show what's on hand, and your price, next to the compare-at price. Services are in the same list. To add one, click Add Product.

Give it a name. This one is Headlight Restoration. It's a service, so the type is already set. On the right, add a SKU and a category, so it's easy to find. Set the price: ninety-five dollars. Tax is charged on this item at your usual rate, unless you set a different one.

Here's a handy one. A supply recipe takes supplies out of your stock each time this service is invoiced. Pick Ceramic Booster Spray, a quarter quart per job, and add it. Services can also be booked online. I'll switch that off for this one, and click Save.

Headlight Restoration is in your catalog now. Add it to any proposal or invoice, and its price and tax fill in for you. The Inventory tab shows what's on hand for each supply. Under History, you'll see when it's time to reorder, and every change, including what each invoice used. And that's your product catalog. In the next video, we'll track your expenses.
