Scoro alternatives

Scoro alternatives for a small agency: 5 options compared honestly

The best Scoro alternatives for a 2–20-person agency are Productive (resource planning from $10 a user per month billed yearly, $12 monthly), Teamwork (retainers and invoices from logged time on Accelerate, $29.99 a user per month), Avaza (an account price, Business $47.95 a month) and Workspace369 (proposals, deposits, retainers, invoices and a client portal on one record, from $74 a month for 2 seats). Scoro itself is priced per user by the apps you combine: from $17 a user per month billed annually ($20 on monthly billing), with a five-user minimum, so a 5-person agency pays at least $85 a month, and its customer portal is a paid extra. To switch, export spreadsheets and map them with AI Import. Prices last checked October 17, 2026. Workspace369 is our product; it sits in the same table under the same rules.

Methodology — We read each tool’s pricing page in a browser on October 17, 2026, with monthly and yearly billing both selected where the page offers them, and used Scoro’s pricing configurator for its per-user totals. Workspace369 is our product; we link its pricing page and say where it is not the best fit.

Quick answer

The short version, by scenario

The best Scoro alternative for a small agency depends on what you bought Scoro for. Pick Productive if resource planning and budgets are why you chose Scoro (Essential $12 a user per month on monthly billing, $10 billed yearly, three-seat minimum). Teamwork if you live in projects and bill retainers from logged time (Accelerate $29.99 a user per month, $24.99 billed yearly). Avaza if you want timesheets, scheduling and invoicing at one account price (Business $47.95 a month on monthly billing). Workspace369 if proposals, deposits, retainers, invoices, the client portal, texts and calls should sit on one client record (Voyager $74 a month for 2 seats, extra seats $10).

What Scoro costs a 5-person agency: the Time-billing combination (Track and Invoice) is $17 a user per month billed annually, $85 a month or $1,020 a year for five, or $20 a user ($100 a month) on monthly billing. The End-to-end combination is listed at $57 a user per month billed annually, $285 a month for five. Workspace369 for five people is $104 a month (Voyager plus three $10 seats) and $149 for up to ten (Specialist). Scoro’s customer portal is a paid extra.

Stay on Scoro if capacity planning, budgets and profitability reporting across projects are the job, and you are past the five-user minimum anyway. Leave if you mostly need proposals, invoicing and a client portal: you are paying per user for financial depth you don’t use.

The switching triggers

Why people leave Scoro in 2026

We found no Scoro price-increase announcement. Three facts from our October 17, 2026 check that matter if you run a small agency:

  1. Oct 17, 2026

Scoro prices by app combination, per user

Scoro’s pricing page says it is “made of 8 apps” (Do, Deliver, Track, Resource, Sell, Estimate, Spend and Invoice) and lists four popular combinations: Time-billing at $17, Projects & Resources at $29, Quote to Cash at $29 and End-to-end at $57 a user per month, all billed annually. Its configurator shows those card prices on annual billing; Time-billing is $20 a user on monthly billing, and the page says annual billing saves 13–17%. Add-ons and integrations are priced separately.

  2. Oct 17, 2026

Five users minimum on every combination

Scoro’s FAQ says “the minimum number of user seats for all combinations is 5,” and the configurator totals start at five users. A three-person agency still pays for five: $85 a month on the cheapest combination, billed annually.

  3. Oct 17, 2026

The customer portal is a paid extra

Scoro’s help center says “Customer portal is available as a paid Customer portal extra,” and that each extra adds 100 portal users. Portal users see the projects, quotes and invoices you give them access to.

Prices are per user per month unless marked as an account price, with the billing period stated in each cell or section, last checked October 17, 2026. Scoro’s card prices are annual billing, as its configurator shows them. “Not listed” means the vendor’s pricing pages did not mention it; “See site” means we could not confirm it on the vendor’s own page that day.

The alternatives, in detail

Productive productive.io ↗

Best for: Agencies that chose Scoro for resource planning and budgets and want the same kind of tool at a lower posted per-user price ($10 billed yearly against Scoro’s $17), with a three-seat minimum instead of five.

Pricing: Essential is $12 a user per month on monthly billing and $10 billed yearly; Professional is $29 and $25; Ultimate is “Let’s talk”. All plans require at least three seats; the page shows 10 users on Essential as $120 a month on monthly billing. Last checked October 19, 2026.

Where it wins

  • Essential lists budgeting, resource planning, project and task management and docs
  • Invoices are on every plan; Professional adds recurring budgets, retainer invoicing and accounting integrations
  • Its FAQ says adding clients is free, and there are no limits on projects, tasks, clients or budgets

Real limitations

  • Per-user pricing: five people on Professional are $145 a month on monthly billing
  • Recurring budgets, retainer invoicing and the Xero and QuickBooks Online sync start on Professional
  • Its pricing page lists no texting or phone line

Skip it if: You want proposals, deposits, invoices and client messaging on one record at a flat team price.

Teamwork teamwork.com ↗

Best for: Agencies that run on projects and retainers and want invoices built from logged time, with a Free plan to try it on a few projects.

Pricing: Free (up to 5 projects), Basics $13.99 and Accelerate $29.99 a user per month on monthly billing, or $9.99 and $24.99 billed yearly; Optimize and Enterprise are “Let’s talk”. 14-day trial, no credit card. Last checked October 17, 2026.

Where it wins

  • Accelerate lists time budgets and retainers, workload planning and client invoices built from logged time
  • Basics lists Gantt, table, list and board views and billable time reporting
  • Client users can be invited into projects

Real limitations

  • Invoices on Accelerate are listed as “Basic invoices”; creating quotes starts on Optimize, which is sales-led
  • Per-user pricing: five people on Accelerate are $149.95 a month on monthly billing
  • Its pricing page lists no texting or phone line

Skip it if: You need quotes and invoices with deposits in one flow without a sales call, or texting and calls in the same tool.

Avaza avaza.com ↗

Best for: Small agencies that want timesheets, resource scheduling and invoicing at one account price instead of a price for every seat.

Pricing: On monthly billing: Free $0, Startup $11.95, Basic $23.95 and Business $47.95 a month for the account. Billed yearly: $9.96, $19.96 and $39.96 a month ($119.50, $239.50 and $479.50 a year). Business includes 10 timesheet and expense users and 5 admin and finance users; each plan includes one resource-scheduling user, and extra timesheet, scheduling and admin users are $7 a month each on monthly billing. Last checked October 17, 2026.

Where it wins

  • An account price: ten timesheet users on Business cost $47.95 a month on monthly billing
  • Project resource scheduling, recurring invoicing and retainer invoicing are listed
  • A Free plan to start

Real limitations

  • Each plan includes one resource-scheduling user; more are $7 a month each
  • Invoice and project limits on lower plans: Startup 50 invoices and bills a month, Basic 100
  • Its pricing page lists no texting or phone line, and no CRM pipeline

Skip it if: You want deals, signed proposals, deposits and client messaging in the same tool as your projects.

Accelo accelo.com ↗

Best for: Agencies that want Scoro-level service automation (quotes, retainers, tickets, capacity) with implementation help, and are fine with a sales-led quote.

Pricing: Accelo publishes no prices: its pricing page says pricing is “tailored to your business” and asks for team size to prepare a custom quote. Last checked October 17, 2026; the feature claims below come from its product and demo pages, checked October 12, 2026.

Where it wins

  • Quotes, retainers, projects, tickets and invoicing in one professional-services platform
  • A client portal for projects, quotes, invoices and requests
  • Accounting integrations with Xero, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online

Real limitations

  • No posted price, so you can’t compare totals before a sales call
  • Its demo page said it “works best for growing teams of 15+ users” when we checked on October 12, 2026
  • No texting or phone line on its pricing or product pages we read

Skip it if: You want to see a price before talking to sales, or you are under 15 people.

Workspace369 workspace369.com ↗

Best for: Agencies of 2 to 20 people whose day runs from proposal to signature to deposit to invoice, with retainers, the client portal and client texts and calls on the same record, at a flat team price.

Pricing: Cadet $29/mo (1 seat), Voyager $74/mo (2 seats; adds the shared inbox, texts and calls), Specialist $149/mo (10 seats; adds IVR and call queues, payment plans and basic accounting), Commander $299/mo (20 seats; full accounting), Enterprise $699/mo (50 seats). Extra seats are $10/mo from Voyager; yearly billing saves 20%. Claiming dedicated SMS or voice numbers adds a one-time $50 carrier compliance setup. A 5-person agency pays $104/mo on Voyager and a 10-person agency $149/mo on Specialist. 14-day free trial.

Where it wins

  • Proposals clients sign online, a deposit on acceptance, invoices, retainers and payment schedules, and recurring invoices on every plan
  • A client portal on every plan, with no portal extra to buy
  • Native texts and calls in the shared inbox from Voyager, and time tracking with time-to-invoice on every plan

Real limitations

  • Not a resourcing platform: the feature matrix does not list capacity or utilization planning, project budgets with burn tracking or multi-currency financial reporting, which are why many agencies pick Scoro
  • For basic time billing, Scoro’s Time-billing combination is cheaper for five people when billed annually ($85 a month against $104), and Avaza Business is cheaper for ten ($47.95 against $149 on monthly billing)
  • No direct import from Scoro: AI Import maps the spreadsheets you export, and projects, tasks and time entries are set up again

Skip it if: Capacity forecasting, budgets and profitability reporting across many projects are the main reason you use Scoro.

The honest counterpoint

Stay on Scoro if…

  • Capacity and resource planning across the team is central, and Scoro’s Resource app is where you plan it.
  • You rely on its financial depth: budgeting, quoting and profitability reporting in one system, which Scoro lists as its advantage.
  • You are five or more people already, so the five-user minimum costs you nothing extra.
  • You use its integrations with QuickBooks, Xero or Exact Online and your books depend on them.

Switching

How to switch from Scoro

  1. 01

List what you actually use in Scoro

Note which apps you pay for (Track, Invoice, Estimate, Resource and so on) and what you rely on each for. Anything on the list that your next tool lacks needs a replacement first.

  2. 02

    Export before you cancel

Export clients and contacts, quotes, open invoices and expenses as spreadsheets, plus the reports your accountant needs. Check the notice and renewal terms on your Scoro plan.

  3. 03

Start a Workspace369 trial and import

14-day free trial. AI Import maps your exported clients, products, invoices, proposals and expenses and shows the token cost before it saves anything. Projects, tasks and time entries are set up again.

  4. 04

Run one client end to end, then cancel

Take one real client from proposal to signature, deposit, project and invoice. Cancel Scoro only after that client has paid through the new setup, and keep the exports.

There is no direct import from Scoro, but you don’t retype records: export them as spreadsheets, and Workspace369’s AI Import maps the columns. Support can help with anything unusual. For the feature-by-feature version, start with the head-to-head:

Projects & Resources and Quote to Cash are listed at $29 and End-to-end at $57 a user per month billed annually; the Enterprise platform tier starts at $27 a user billed annually. Every combination has a five-user minimum, and add-ons and integrations are priced separately. Last checked October 17, 2026.
What does a 5-person agency pay for Scoro compared with a flat price?
On Scoro’s cheapest combination, $85 a month billed annually ($1,020 a year) or $100 a month on monthly billing; End-to-end is $285 a month for five, billed annually. Workspace369 is a flat team price: five people are $104 a month on Voyager (2 seats plus three $10 seats), and up to ten are $149 on Specialist. Last checked October 17, 2026.
Which Scoro alternative handles proposals, retainers and invoicing in one place?
Workspace369 keeps proposals clients sign online, a deposit on acceptance, retainers and payment schedules, recurring invoices and invoices on the same client record, on every plan. Teamwork lists retainers and invoices from logged time on Accelerate, with quotes on its sales-led Optimize plan. Accelo lists quotes, retainers and invoicing but publishes no price.
Is there a Scoro alternative with a client portal?
Yes. Workspace369 includes a client portal on every plan, from Cadet at $29 a month. Accelo lists a client portal for projects, quotes, invoices and requests, and Productive lets you invite clients free of charge. In Scoro, the customer portal is a paid extra that adds 100 portal users each.
How do I switch from Scoro, and what can I import?
Export clients, quotes, invoices and expenses from Scoro as CSV or XLSX. Workspace369’s AI Import maps clients, products, invoices (with line items, tax and paid status), proposals and expenses, and shows the token cost before it saves anything. There is no direct Scoro connection, and projects, tasks and time entries don’t transfer. Run one client end to end before you cancel.
Can Workspace369 replace Scoro?
For client work from proposal to payment, yes: proposals, deposits, retainers, invoices, the client portal, projects and time tracking. Not for resource and capacity planning or deep profitability reporting: the feature matrix does not list them, so an agency that runs on Scoro’s Resource app should keep it or pick Productive.
