What is inside the template
5 sections, in the order you use them, each with short guidance you delete before sending.
Who is the deck for?
A four-way check for investors, a lender or grant panel, a pitch competition or a partner, with what each room needs to hear first, plus the time you have and the next step you want.
The one-page outline
Twelve slides in order, from title, problem and solution to traction, team, financials and the ask, with the question each one answers and a line for your answer.
What each slide must answer
Prompts for every slide, such as how customers cope today, how to count your market bottom-up, what counts as traction, and a table for competitors and alternatives.
The numbers check
Market size, monthly revenue, use of funds and runway in one table, so every number on your slides agrees.
Checklist before you pitch
Seven checks, from one idea per slide and readable text to a timed run-through, backup slides for questions and a PDF that reads without you.
Plus a filled-in example
A fictional café scheduling startup fills in all twelve slides in one line each and checks its market, revenue, use of funds and runway. Every number is invented.

Questions about the template
Is the pitch deck template free?
Yes. Download the PDF or the Word file without an account or an email address, and use it for your own pitch.
Is this a slide template?
No. It is a worksheet for the words and numbers behind each slide. Fill it in first, then build the slides in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides or Canva, with one idea on each slide.
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
Guy Kawasaki’s 10/20/30 rule says a pitch should have ten slides, last no more than twenty minutes and use no font smaller than thirty points. The template has twelve slides and shows which two to combine to get to ten. If a pitch competition sets its own limit, follow that.
Is this the Sequoia pitch deck template?
No. Workspace369 is not affiliated with Sequoia Capital or Guy Kawasaki. The slide order draws on the sections Sequoia lists in “Writing a Business Plan”, with Product, Traction and The ask added, plus prompts and a numbers check.
Is this template legal or financial advice?
No. It is general information. Have any investment terms, loan or grant application checked by someone qualified where you work.
