Workspace369 is now an approved ChatGPT plugin

OpenAI approved the Workspace369 plugin for ChatGPT. What it does in your workspace, how to add it, which plans include it, and what waits for your approval.

OpenAI has approved and published the Workspace369 plugin for ChatGPT. It is rolling out from today: you can connect ChatGPT to your Workspace369 workspace from inside ChatGPT, and ask it to work with your clients, proposals, invoices, projects and calendar in plain language.

Workspace369 already has an MCP server, the connection standard that Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps use. The plugin brings that same connection into ChatGPT itself, reviewed and approved by OpenAI, so you no longer need a server URL to get started.

Key takeaways

  • OpenAI approved and published the Workspace369 plugin for ChatGPT on October 30, 2026. It can take a little while to show for everyone.
  • Once connected, ChatGPT can look up clients, draft proposals and invoices, manage projects and tasks, schedule events, log time and expenses, and record payments, with your own permissions and only the access you approve.
  • Anything that sends something to a client, such as an invoice, proposal, contract or message, waits for your approval in Workspace369, unless you turn on Send without asking for that connection.
  • It works on every plan, including Cadet. The workspace owner or an admin turns AI connections on, and every successful request counts toward the workspace's AI usage.

What the plugin does

Once you connect it, ChatGPT works inside your workspace with your own permissions and the access you choose. You can ask it to:

  • find a client and summarise where things stand: open proposals, unpaid invoices and the last message;
  • draft a proposal or an invoice with real line items from a short description of the work;
  • create a project and its first tasks, or move tasks along;
  • check your availability and schedule an event;
  • log time and expenses, and record a payment;
  • look through your inbox or search your knowledge base;
  • list who to follow up with this week, and schedule the next follow-up.

It connects to the same Workspace369 MCP server, with the same tools and the same limits.

The plugin can draft, look up and organise, but by default it does not send things to clients on its own. When ChatGPT prepares an invoice, a proposal, a contract or a message, the send waits for your approval in Workspace369. If you trust a connection, the person who made it can turn on Send without asking for that app; it is off until they do.

You also decide what it can reach. When you connect, you set a level for each area, such as Clients or Invoices, from None to full access, and you can disconnect it at any time in Settings, under AI connections. To change the levels, disconnect and connect again. The workspace owner is notified whenever someone connects an AI app.

How to add it in ChatGPT

  1. In Workspace369, the workspace owner or an admin opens Settings, then under AI chooses AI connections and turns on Allow AI connections. If you started the trial, you are the owner.
  2. In ChatGPT, find Workspace369 and connect it.
  3. ChatGPT opens the Workspace369 sign-in page. Sign in with your Workspace369 email and password, and enter the code from your phone if you use two-factor sign-in. If you normally sign in with Google or Apple, set a password first: open Settings, then your account page, and choose Reset password by email.
  4. Choose the workspace, review the permissions, set each area's level, and choose Approve access.
  5. Ask ChatGPT something about your work, such as "Which clients owe me money this month?"

The step-by-step guide, with what to do if it doesn't show yet, is in the docs: Use Workspace369 in ChatGPT.

OpenAI published the plugin on October 30 and says it will be visible in ChatGPT shortly, so it can take a little while to show for everyone. If you don't see Workspace369 yet, try again later, or connect the same server by its URL, https://mcp.workspace369.com/mcp, as described in Connect an AI app to your workspace.

Plans and AI usage

The plugin is on every Workspace369 plan, including Cadet. Every successful request ChatGPT makes counts toward your workspace's monthly AI usage. You can see the plans on the pricing page.

Using Claude or another AI app?

The plugin is for ChatGPT. Claude, Cursor, Windsurf and other apps that support MCP connect to the same Workspace369 server with the URL above, and get the same tools and the same approval rules. The release note has the short version. The MCP integration page has the details for each one.

Try it

If you already use Workspace369, add the plugin in ChatGPT and ask it about your week. If you don't yet, start the 14-day free trial (card required, then from $29/month until you cancel), turn on AI connections and connect ChatGPT.

FAQ

Is the Workspace369 ChatGPT plugin approved by OpenAI?

Yes. Workspace369 submitted the plugin to OpenAI, OpenAI approved it, and it was published on October 30, 2026. It is built and maintained by Workspace369.

What can ChatGPT do in Workspace369?

Look up clients and their history, draft invoices and proposals with real line items, create and update projects and tasks, check availability and schedule events, log time and expenses, record payments, look through your inbox and search your knowledge base. It works with your own permissions and only the areas and levels you approve when you connect.

Can ChatGPT send invoices or messages on its own?

Not by default. Anything that sends something to a client, such as an invoice, proposal, contract or message, waits for your approval in Workspace369. Only the person who made the connection can turn on Send without asking for it, and it is off until they do.

Which Workspace369 plans include the ChatGPT plugin?

Every plan, from Cadet to Enterprise. The workspace owner or an admin turns on AI connections in Settings, and every successful request counts toward the workspace's AI usage.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in to Workspace369 on our own sign-in page, choose the workspace and approve the permissions. ChatGPT never sees your password, and you can disconnect it at any time.
