How common is crm software among EU businesses?

CRM adoption is higher among large than small enterprises in the EU survey. These are enterprise adoption shares, not percentages of employees or estimates for all businesses worldwide.

How does crm software adoption compare across EU countries?

The country table uses the same survey year and size definitions, so readers can select a relevant country instead of treating the EU aggregate as a universal benchmark.

Portugal’s medium-size observation is missing and flagged for low reliability. “Suppressed” means no publishable numeric value in this snapshot; it never means zero adoption. Country differences can reflect industry mix and survey error.

How large is the adoption gap between large and small enterprises?

Workspace369 calculates a percentage-point difference from the published database cells. This makes the size comparison reproducible without subtracting rounded news headlines.

Which industries report using crm software?

Information and communication has the highest point estimate among the broad industry groups shown. The table compares covered enterprises across sizes within each industry; it is not a small-business-only ranking.

Is CRM use the same as ERP or business intelligence use?

No. CRM is a specific software category. An enterprise using ERP or business intelligence does not automatically qualify as a CRM user, and the categories cannot be added to count unique adopters.

The denominator here is all covered enterprises in each group, not only enterprises already buying cloud services.

Primary source: Eurostat — checked September 13, 2026

Can these statistics establish software ROI?

No. Adoption is a descriptive measure, not an experiment comparing business outcomes. Use the benchmark to frame a workflow review, then measure your own record quality, handoffs and completion times.

Keep local operational measurements separate from national survey estimates and avoid promising the same results for every team.

How this report was built

Methodology and limitations

  1. We extracted the 2025 percentage-of-enterprises indicator from Eurostat’s size and industry JSON-stat datasets. Each ledger row retains the full dimension coordinates and numeric-array index. Source hashes identify this edition; the database timestamp is not presented as the original publication date.
  2. The EU aggregate and country estimates are supplied by Eurostat. We do not average country percentages or size groups. All-size estimates overlap with the three size classes.
  3. Workspace369’s size gaps subtract the small-enterprise percentage from the large-enterprise percentage using database precision, then round to two decimals. Missing values and reliability flags are retained; no missing observation is imputed.
  4. This is an English-language adaptation and compilation of Eurostat statistical data, not a translation of an entire Eurostat publication. Workspace369 is responsible for the selection, calculations and translated editions. Eurostat is not responsible for this adaptation.

What these numbers cannot tell you

  • The mandatory survey population excludes microbusinesses and several economic activities. These EU results must not be relabeled as U.S. small-business statistics.
  • Country estimates reflect industry composition, sampling and nonresponse. We have not tested whether pairs of point estimates differ significantly.
  • Adoption does not measure implementation quality, product market share, spending, productivity gains or the probability that a particular tool will succeed.

Freshness and corrections

Maintained by the Workspace369 editorial team. Review annually after the Eurostat enterprise ICT release; check database revisions quarterly. The edition date changes only when the evidence or content is substantively reviewed; it does not change the underlying observation period.

First edition: . Data extraction, source attribution and arithmetic checked for this edition. No independent peer review is claimed.
